Why this collection exists

Myth is not something that happened. It is something that keeps happening.

Most mythology on clothing stops at decoration — a deity, a motif, a symbol lifted from its context and printed flat. This collection starts from the opposite end. Each piece begins with a specific narrative, and the design exists to carry that narrative rather than to ornament it.

Working with Devdutt Pattanaik meant every reference had to hold up: the right story, attributed to the right tradition, drawn in the visual language that tradition actually uses. What you wear should survive being asked about.

The collaborator

Devdutt Pattanaik

A mythologist, author and speaker who has spent decades making India's stories legible to a modern audience — not as relics to be preserved, but as living material that still explains how people think and behave.

His involvement here goes past a name on a label. The narratives, their sources and the traditions they are drawn from were worked through together, so that each piece can be traced back to something real.
